Hear me on India-Pakistan relations @ Yale

Any readers of my blog in New Haven interested in what I have to say on India-Pakistan relations in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks are welcome to attend two public events on this topic at Yale University this week.

My public lecture as a Poynter media fellow is on February 17 at 4:30 pm in the Henry Luce Hall auditorium at 34 Hillhouse Avenue.

I will give a different version of this talk focusing on Obama’s Afghanistan and Pakistan policy one February 19 at 4 pm at a ‘Master’s Tea’ event at Silliman College.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Pakistan has basically ceded that territory to the Taliban in SWAT, and as such I’m not sure they are any longer in a position to complain about American incursions.

Let me start with a few facts ,Pak army and ISI are the same thing , pak army officers moonlight through ISI deputations . Taliban is their creation aka “non-state actors” to control Afganistan ,Kashmir and eventually India. At this moment the swat situation serves as a good cop (pak army) / bad cop (Taliban) game , to extract concessions from west in form of leverage , money etc. Pak Army will not voluntarily give up this strategy . IMO if Baluchistan was to be made independent and an access for Afghanistan to the sea, Taliban may just disappear by itself . Key to success with the Paks is “what they will loose” NEVER “what they will gain” .

now indian minister pranab mukherjee has declared publicly that INDIA is impotent and sterile….he said that pakistan can attack as many times it wishes and then obfuscate the matter by hiding behind non-state actors and all that bull shit… but INDIA will never attack pakistan ,never think about its’ dismemberment,no imposition of costs on pakistan for all this humiliation and brutality…we will do NOTHING diplomacy will take its’ own course while these eunuchs sitting in parliament would only mouth platitudes and softpeddal the issue… an american senior diplomat told american congress that india act as a SPONGE absorbing the violence that saves white skin in europe and americas..please highlight this to your audience, how an ordinary indian feels…

It seems we’re in for another armchair intellectual mouthing more leftist theories on Pakistan policy. I guess, it’ll be played for the gallery of a genteel audience on a cold New Haven afternoon.
